The hotel is situated just outside of the town, and is within 8 kilometres from the A6, so ideal for visiting the region. The hotel is very well appointed, with large rooms, and comfortable beds. The bathroom has a walk in shower. There is a kettle, tea and coffee, and a large TV. There is also a restaurant, reasonably priced, although we did not use it. The swimming pool looked very inviting, but we did not have the time to use it. The staff were very helpful and pleasant

Conveniently located in walking distance of the lovely fortified town of Semur. Easy to find and with ample free parking. Well maintained public areas and bedrooms, with an attractive restaurant and bar. The added bonus of a heated open air pool. Reasonable room rates and a good breakfast - cheaper than many hotels. Customer service really stands out. I booked this in May 2022, when planning a roadtrip, and they contacted me then to check that I actually did mean 2023 and hadn’t got my calendar confused. A few days prior to our stay they rang again to check if we wanted to eat In the restaurant, as it was getting full with dinner bookings and they wanted to give priority to residents. So overall it was an excellent stopover and I’d have no hesitation in returning next time I’m in Burgundy.

It's a lovely, unpretentious and welcoming hotel. We always make it our first stop on our journey to the South, and our final stay on our way back to the UK. The cuisine is excellent, and the breakfasts likewise.

Great stop over point, though further out of Semur than I thought but not a problem. lovely grounds great for my dog to run around in. Rooms were so quiet and cool and the bed very comfortable - I slept very well. Nice to have the Nespresso machine and the tea facilities. Restaurant was very good and obviously popular as full. Food and wine excellent though I was a bit pushed out of the way on probably the worst table between the in and out doors of the kitchen. But I did book on booking.com, was on my own, and had my dog. So I still really enjoyed my evening. Breakfast was the usual French selection which I liked and I enjoyed eating it on the terrace overlooking the turrets of the castle. Reception staff and the man in charge, not sure if the owner or manager, were very professional and friendly. Restaurant staff seemed a bit ‘new’ and not quite what you expect in France apart from the lady in charge who commanded respect! I would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable hotel in a convenient location, right across a beautiful medieval town. We usually stay here en route to Provence and back. Hotel is comfortable, good amenities, clean and friendly staff.
